Fish farming

There is an increasing demand for fish and fish protein , which has resulted in widespread of over fishing in Uganda

The market for fish is so high in western countries and in Africa  fish is becoming scarcity especially to poor  families that cannot afford the price  of tilapia

Our intent as AMIFU is to raise fish in our farms for our school feeding and to train  people to utilize their swamp areas for commercial fish farming

This is a new action for AMIFU. Our single pond had been filled with 500 fish; we are looking forward to dig 2 more fish ponds on our farm

 Harvest farming

Vegetables such as cabbages, carrots, maize, egg plants, bananas, yams, water melons, mangoes, paw paws, onions, spinach and sukumawich, are commonly grown for our school use and demonstration for our trainees , but because of the increasing demand for vegetables in the country we are looking forward   to buying a big land to grow more crops, particularly for selling .
